Summary: ANIME SUMMARY Ryoko Mitsurugi is the idol of every girl at Daimon Highschool and the dream date of every guy. But, when she's magically transported to an unknown world and is forced to fight monsters...well only she can do what she does best, fight! MANGA SUMMARY When a smart ass, socially deprived, unibrowed martial artist approaches the principle of Daimon highschool with the craziest idea ever, we get this manga. This smart ass's proposal? To let the student body work out their problems by way of fights. And of course, you have your crap wannabe fighters and then you have the hero, or in this case heroin, Ryoko Mitsurugi. Oh and also the smart ass, he goes by the name of Shizuma Kusinagi. And between these two and all the other occasional good fighters, you can expect one hell of a martial arts frenzy.

Explanation for Rating: Nyushram: Right, I saw the anime first and didn't think it was too bad, (especially the dvd menus which were a very nice touch) but then I read the first vol of the manga and immediately was confused and impressed by it. I definitly like the manga more. Mostly because it's more down to earth in the way of it's martial arts, which I like. But the anime is a little too on the side of crazy, because when you have a martial arts anime that revolves around characters using fancy energy styled attacks, you loose almost all the emphasis on actual martial arts and that's just not groovy with me.
