Summary: In the year 2015, with half of the world's population dead and the polar icecaps melted, humanity struggles a new unknown enemy nicknamed Angels. Now a new organization, NERV, enters the scene with technology unmatched by the rest of the world with their large combats unit named Evangelions. Only certain people can pilot these weapons, and the story follows the journey of Shinji Ikari as he battles for other people's acceptance, accepting himself, and his own survival. *Don't want to say much more, go out and watch this series now!*

Explanation for Rating: Adoogen Brilliance, pure brilliance. The series throws around religious symbolism like candy on Halloween. The character development is probably the best I've ever seen, the plot is amazing, the music amazing. Sure, you may not understand what happens at times, or at all, but when you finally do figure it out, you'll have a new appreciation for the series. Don't watch this series if you think it's a "mecha", the emphasis is not on the fighting, though some of the battles are pretty cool. Easily one of my favorite series.
