Summary: Sakura Kinomoto opens an odd book in her father's library, only to release the Clow Cards. The guardian beast, Keroberos, chooses her to be the Card Captor. Sakura must now recapture the Clow Cards, using the ones she's collected so far, in the many costumes her friend Tomoyo prepares for her. In the second season, after Sakura's collected all the cards, she must use her power to turn them into Star Cards. The dub was called Card Captors, and first aired with episode 8 ("Sakura's Rival"), where Li Shaoron first appeared, suggesting that Li and Sakura were equals, in a futile attempt to attract more male viewers.

Explanation for Rating: Gammler: Yeah, I know a Mahou Shoujo fan like me probably should've rated this higher, but this series wasn't too out of the ordinary of its genre. Apart from some interesting character developments, and lovable characters, I just couldn't rate it too high. As far as Mahou Shoujo goes, it's a must see. I rate this higher than Sailor Moon.
