Summary:

Angelic Layer is the newest electronic sport. Players create their own 'Angel' each of them having their own characteristics. After that is done, they enter their angels in tournaments to battle for fortune, glory, and more angel points(Which is as good as cash).

Misaki Suzuhara, a 12 year old junior high student, has just arrived at Tokyo and is already fascinated with the game. She starts off by creating her own angel to resemble her favorite Heirone from the manga "Magic Knights Rayearth" After doing so, she names her Angel 'Hikaru' But still, building a winning angel takes a lot of money and experience, Misaki is, sadly, short on both. But with the help of a wacko scientist, her new friends, and her special Angel, she just may have what it takes to go all the way...

Adoogen:
Angelic Layer is like a lot of Clamp's work, cute, poofy, and light-hearted. Which is a good genre to have every now and then, mix it in with Hellsing every now and then and you've got yourself a balanced anime pleasure. The little robot battles were pretty good though, after awhile though they give up on explaining how little robots can create energy-based attacks.
