Summary: Sashi Imamiya and Arumi Asahina live in the Abenobashi shopping district in Osaka. One summer day the two kids are transported to the parallel universe, Maho Shotengai (Magical Shopping District), where common sense is far from being common. In these worlds many references to other animes are made. I think the more anime you have seen before this the better it is.

Explanation for Rating: Adoogen: I was a fan of the series when I first started watching it and couldn't wait to watch the next episode. I really liked the opening too. This is another Gainax piece and Gainax has given us some bizarre stuff (FLCL/NGE) but this seemed really original to me. The animation was very nice and the characters were all original. But the ending always bugs me. I don't think it should have ended the way it did. Oh but either way the comedy more than makes up for, if you need a good series to laugh at then this is one of them.
