| Guymelef Information:
Escaflowne is the most famous Guymelef in all of Gaea. It is a Fanelian Guymelef that was made by the Ispano Tribe years before. Only the king of Fanelia can pilot Escaflowne. Van starts piloting Escaflowne in episode 2 and uses it with success in many cases. However, in episode 13, Escaflowne starts to bond with Van, in other words, Escaflowne and Van start becoming one. What ever damage occurs to Escaflowne occurs to Van and vice versa. Luckily, a heavily damaged Escaflowne is repaired by the Ispanos. Escaflowne is being sought after by Emperor Dornkirk and it is eventually captured. The Zaibach Scientists attempt to tear it apart, but Van uses his bond with Escaflowne to make it escape. Van continues to use Escaflowne for the rest of the series and once Gaea is made peaceful again he removes its energist and puts it to rest. | |

Escaflowne is a large armored humanoid Guymelef. It is a very pale yellowish bone color. It has dark brown fists and a red cape. It has 2 greenish energists on its shoulders and a red energist on its chest. | |
| Abilities:
Escaflowne's coolest ability is that it is able to turn into a Dragon shaped Guymelef and fly. It also has hidden boosters that are used in episode 18. Escaflowne's only weapon is its large sword. | |
